NEW! Upper Campus Grandparents Day - It was another amazing Grandparents Day yesterday at the upper campus, with 75 special guests joining us for Mass and reception with students! Once again, we extend thanks to our organizers, Danielle Schuh, Alex Sullivan, and Hanna Sullivan and to our teachers and staff for all they did to make our guests feel welcome. Special thanks also to Fr. Paul Montminy from Immaculate Conception Parish for celebrating Mass with us!

NEW! Calendar Raffle Winners - Looking for a list of daily winners? We have a running post HERE on the school website and a pinned list of winners HERE on Facebook!

NEW! THIS WEEK!  Spirit Day! Don’t forget that this Friday, October 10, is Spirit Day to celebrate our Calendar Raffle success! Students are invited to wear any kind of Saint Chris spirit wear or blue and white!

NEW! Tuition Raffle Drawing! On Friday, we will also hold our Tuition Raffle Drawing LIVE on Facebook HERE at 9:00 AM! Families received one tuition raffle ticket for every 10 calendar raffle tickets sold. The winner of the Tuition Raffle wins their choice of a $1,500 tuition credit for the 2025-2026 school year OR $1,000 in cash!

NEW! Spirit Wear Orders - If you ordered spirit wear merchandise from Mavericks at the beginning of the school year, it will go home with your child tomorrow! Just in time for Spirit Day!

NEW! Bus Pickup Issues - The Nashua Transportation Department has asked us to remind parents that if they have an issue with bus pickup in the morning, all calls should be directed to First Student at 603-883-0251, ext 1 for dispatch. Please do not contact the Transportation Department as they cannot assist you. Thanks!

NEW! Mrs. Hickey's Guidance Corner – I am excited to kick off Lunch Bunches this week! These small, grade-level lunch groups will include two students per class and will rotate regularly throughout the year. Lunch Bunches provide a fun, relaxed setting where students can build friendships and strengthen important social skills like communication, cooperation, and kindness. It’s a great opportunity for students to connect with peers and grow socially in a supportive environment. Let me know if you have any questions at [email protected].

NEW! Lower Campus Upper Parish Parking Lot – Lower campus parents are reminded that NO parent should get out of their car in either of the morning drop off lines. This is particularly important in the drop off line in front of the school…not only is it an accident waiting to happen on our busy street but it is a major inconvenience to cars who are trying to get around you. Students should ONLY exit on the school side of the street.

If you must exit your car to help your child get out of the car or get a project, or if your child can only exit on the driver’s side of the car, please use the upper parish parking lot. You can pull into a parking space in the lot, then take your time to exit safely on either side of the car. Students may walk down the stairs and enter into the back door of the school. Thank you for helping us keep all of our students safe!

Tuition for 2026-2027-  Last week, parents were sent an email from Mrs. Clarke regarding tuition and fees for the 2026-2027 school year. The rates are also available on the school website HERE and you can read the email from Mrs. Clarke HERE.

Continuous Enrollment - Parents also received an important email last week regarding the Academy’s implementation of continuous enrollment for returning students. This new admissions system streamlines the annual registration process, eliminating the need for parents to complete annual re-enrollment packets and ensuring a seamless transition from year to year. To view the email, please click HERE. Current parents will receive their FINAL re-enrollment packet on November 1st.

NOW OPEN! New Student Applications for 2026-2027 - Do you know a family who would like to join the Saint Chris community next year? Applications for new students for the 2026-2027 school year are now OPEN. New families should start the process HERE

Hot Lunch Ordering for November - Online ordering for November’s Hot Lunch through Boonli.com is now open! Since we can not accommodate orders placed after midnight on the 15th, please be sure to log in early just in case you run into technical issues. Important: Orders are not placed until you complete the entire ordering process and receive a confirmation email from Boonli.

NEW! Hot Lunch Reminder - ALL hot lunches must be ordered in advance through the Boonli system. There are NO additional full lunches available on either campus. Students at the upper campus have access to a limited amount of a la carte items for purchase, but it is never the same food being served for the hot lunch of the day. There are no a la carte items at the lower campus.

October No School Days - October has TWO no school days. NEXT MONDAY, October 13 is Columbus Day and October 20th is a teacher professional development day. Mark your calendars now!

Planning on Kindergarten or PreK for Your Little One at Home Next Year? - If you have a younger child who you would like to attend Saint Christopher next fall, please consider applying now!  Like this year, we anticipate high interest in our kindergarten and first grade programs. Veteran families can complete a new student application through their Family Portal.  While siblings of current families do have priority, we can only honor that if we know you are interested!  Please reach out to Lorrice Bedard, Enrollment Coordinator, at [email protected] with any questions.

iReady Testing - iReady testing has started on both campuses and will run through October 10. Lower campus students will test in their homerooms, while upper campus students will test in their computer classes. Please be sure that your student is well-rested and has had breakfast every day so they can do their best!

Employment Opportunities - We are still in need of a 4th grade/Science teacher! (Many thanks to veteran teacher Sally Mitchell for filling in! Sally spent many years teaching science in that very classroom, so she is very familiar with the curriculum.) Please spread the word!  Preferred applicants should be practicing Catholics, hold an appropriate New Hampshire teaching certification (or be eligible for certification through the state or the Diocese), and be ready to embrace our school mission of developing students who are confident, independent, lifelong learners, who lead by example, and who live their lives with integrity and concern for others. Candidates may read more by clicking HERE!

UPDATED! Now Hiring! Boys and Girls JV Basketball Coach Needed –  We are looking to hire both a boys JV and girls JV basketball coach for the upcoming Tri-County season. The teams are focused on building a fundamental base, and preparing students for higher levels of middle school basketball. The commitment will involve 3-4 weekdays between practices and games and Saturday morning practices. Games will have start times of 3:30 to 4:00. Previous coaching experience is strongly preferred. This is a paid stipend position. For those interested, please contact Tracy Beauregard ([email protected]) for more information.

Are You Missing Your Elsa Doll? Someone left a sweet, well-loved Elsa doll after the All-School Mass at the upper campus last week. We’ve been taking good care of her, but she would like to go home! Please call or stop by the upper campus to claim her!

STUDENT PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES

NEW! CYO Basketball - Sign ups are now open for the CYO basketball league. Teams are available for 3rd/4th grade coed, 5th/6th grade girls and 5th/6th grade boys. All students interested in playing will make a team but should plan to attend the team selection night on Tuesday October 21st 6:30 to 7:30 at the Upper Campus gym. More season details are provided at the top of the sign up form. Click HERE to sign up.

NEW! Tri-County Basketball Tryouts - Available for students 5th through 8th, tryouts will begin on Monday, November 10. There are 4 teams to tryout for - JV girls, JV boys, Varsity girls and Varsity boys. The commitment is multiple weekday practices, Saturday morning practice and an average of 2 games per week beginning in December. Any 5th or 6th grade athlete that does not make the Tri-County school team is welcome to play for a CYO team. Sign ups will be available next week.

NEW! 6th Grade Courthouse Field Trip - On Friday, November 14, 6th grade students will be visiting the United States District Court in Concord to view and participate in a Naturalization Ceremony for new citizens and their families. Students will also enjoy a presentation from the United States Probation Office and an educational program by the federal judiciary. Permission slips and important instructions about the trip were emailed to parents yesterday and students also brought paper copies home yesterday. You can also download the permission slip HERE to be returned by October 17.

6th Grade Retreat - 6th grade students will be going on retreat on Wednesday, October 22nd at Bishop Guertin. Students will need to bring a lunch that day. Permission slips went home with students, were emailed to parents and are available for download HERE. Please return completed forms immediately.

Kid Trivia Night - After an incredibly fun and successful first Trivia Night, Mrs. Lowry and Ms. Nott are back with their second session of the year! Trivia Night #2 will take place in the St. Chris Church Hall on Friday, October 24 from 6:30 - 8:00 PM. All 5th through 8th grade students are invited!

Ski Club and Epic Pass – Now is the best time to look into purchasing an Epic Pass for your skier. The prices will continue to increase as we get closer to the ski season. Vail Resorts usually stops selling passes around December 1st so you'll want to get one sooner than later.

An Epic Pass is what most families use if their child will not be purchasing the package deal through Crotched Mountain (rentals, lessons and lift tickets) and only needs a lift ticket for each of the nights we ski. It is more cost effective to purchase a 6 day pass than purchasing a lift ticket from Crotched each visit.

Click HERE to purchase an Epic Pass.

More details about ski club, including package pricing and busing, will be coming in October. Questions: contact Mrs. Beauregard ([email protected])

Upper Campus MathCounts - Students in grades 6 to 8 are invited to join the MathCounts program! MathCounts is a national math enrichment program and competition series focused on engaging the critical thinking and problem-solving skills of middle school students.  Students will gather both in-person and over Zoom with their upper campus peers and coaches to practice math skills and prepare for individual and team competitions later in the year. Meetings will take place in person at the upper campus on Fridays from 2:45 to 3:45 PM. Additional Zoom meetings are also possible if needed. Please sign up below if you'd like to be a volunteer. Cost for the MathCounts program is $40, which will be billed through FACTS Incidental Billing. To sign up a student or to volunteer, please see the SignUp Genius HERE!

Chess, Checkers & Cribbage Club! We're happy to announce that our Chess, Checkers & Cribbage Club is back! This program offers a safe, low stress environment for students to learn and enjoy the games, while engaging in a social activity that is fun for all. Students play with classmates and learn at their own pace. Please click HERE for the yearly schedule.

UPDATED! Lower Campus Rosary Club Mrs. Clarke and Mrs. Beatrice invite all lower campus students to join the Rosary Club on Friday afternoons. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to grow in faith, deepen their devotion to Mary, and pray together in community. All students are welcome to join as we pray the rosary, reflect on its mysteries, and strengthen our connection to God through this beautiful tradition. Students who are staying for the Rosary Club are to dismiss to the church hall at the end of the school day.  We will have a snack and proceed to the church to say the rosary. All students should be picked by a parent promptly at 4:00 PM in the church parking lot. After 4:00 PM, students can be picked up at After Care.  If your student will be joining the Rosary Group, please complete the SignUp Genius HERE so that we may prepare enough rosaries and materials.

Upper Campus Rosary Club – Students at the Upper Campus are invited to meet for tea, snacks, fellowship, and, of course, most importantly, to pray the Rosary weekly on Friday afternoons.. Our Lady loved Jesus more than anyone who ever lived, and the goal of this group is to come to know and love Him just like she did. The club is open to all and will meet in room 304 (Mrs. Prud'homme's room) from 2:40pm until about 3:15pm each Friday. Come by and check it out!
