It is imperative for the safety of our neighbors, families, and students that our parents obey ALL speed signs in our neighborhood, especially at dismissal time. If you are running late, please do not speed through the neighborhood in order to get here more quickly. We promise to keep your child safe until you arrive!

FIRST Lego League Sponsorship - Is your company interested in the future of engineering? Do you love to encourage students to explore science? If the answer to either question is a yes, a FLL sponsorship is for you! Sponsors help the team purchase this year’s competition set and robot, keep computers and other technology up-to-date, and support other team efforts. In appreciation, the FLL team can include a company logo on their team t-shirts as well as in competition materials…and of course, we’ll include it in the Wednesday News! Monetary or technology donations are welcome. Please contact Marta Nissen at [email protected] or FLL Coach Stan Rydzewski at [email protected] for more information!

On the first day of school, all oldest and only students on both campuses brought home envelopes with our popular Fall Calendar Raffle tickets! We have some GREAT prizes again this year, including gift cards to fabulous stores and lots of CASH! Every family is asked to sell a minimum of 10 tickets at $10 per ticket. This is the first of our three major fundraisers, so we are really counting on your support! This year, our Academy goal is 5,100 tickets between the two campuses! We can do it! Look for our first tally update in a Friday email!

STUDENT PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES
NEW! Ski Club and Epic Pass – Now is the best time to look into purchasing an Epic Pass for your skier. The prices will continue to increase as we get closer to the ski season. Vail Resorts usually stops selling passes around December 1st so you'll want to get one sooner than later.
An Epic Pass is what most families use if their child will not be purchasing the package deal through Crotched Mountain (rentals, lessons and lift tickets) and only needs a lift ticket for each of the nights we ski. It is more cost effective to purchase a 6 day pass than purchasing a lift ticket from Crotched each visit.
Click HERE to purchase an Epic Pass.
More details about ski club, including package pricing and busing, will be coming in October. Questions: contact Mrs. Beauregard ([email protected])
NEW! Lower Campus School Store! Our lower campus school store is back in business! Starting September 16 and 17, the store will be open every Tuesday for grades PreK to 2nd from 8:30 - 8:45 and every Wednesday for grades 3-5 from 8:30-8:45. The store sells a variety of school supply items like pencils/pens/erasers, along with school spirit items, rosaries, and more! Please send your little shoppers in with cash for the store as no checks or charges will be accepted. Thank you to our parent volunteers for their dedication to the store!
Popcorn Fridays and Popcorn Volunteers - If your child loves popcorn, he or she is going to LOVE Popcorn Fridays! By preordering now, your student/s on either campus will receive a fresh bag of delicious popcorn every Friday! The cost is $21 for the year per student (approximately 21 Fridays between October 3 and the end of May. No popcorn on Early Release Days). Please complete the form HERE to order popcorn for your student/s for the year as no individual bags will be available for purchase on Fridays. Fees will be posted in Incidental Billing in the Family Portal. Ordering deadline is Friday, September 12 and popcorn will begin on October 3rd.
Popcorn Volunteers Needed! We are also in need of volunteer poppers at both campuses! Upper campus popping begins at 8:00 AM and takes approximately two hours to complete. The lower campus begins at 8:30 AM and takes approximately three hours to finish (more students = more popcorn to pop!). Depending on the number of volunteers, you will be assigned to approximately one popcorn session a month. Thanks so much for your help! Questions? Contact coordinator Andrea Rugg at [email protected]. Sign up to volunteer HERE!

Meetings will take place in person at the upper campus on Fridays from 2:45 to 3:45 PM. Additional Zoom meetings are also possible if needed. Please sign up below if you'd like to be a volunteer. This club is open to students in grades 3 to 5 and starts on Friday, September 26th. It will meet monthly, on the last Friday of each month, from 7:30 AM - 8:30 AM in Ms. Goltsov’s classroom. The cost per student is $20.
Students will learn the fundamentals of animation using Procreate on our iPads. Through practical lessons and guidance, students will explore the world of animation, bringing their drawings to life in an engaging and educational setting. The Animation Club encourages both artistic expression and technical skills to unlock your child’s creative potential!

Rosary Club for Elementary Students! – All lower campus students are invited to join the Rosary Club starting Friday, September 12! This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to grow in faith, deepen their devotion to Mary, and pray together in community. Students who are staying for the Rosary Club are to dismiss to the church hall at the end of the school day. We will have a snack and proceed to the church to say the rosary. All students should be picked by a parent promptly at 4:00 PM in the church parking lot. After 4:00 PM, students can be picked up at After Care. If your student will be joining the Rosary Group, please complete the SignUp Genius HERE so that we may prepare enough rosaries and materials.
Chess, Checkers & Cribbage Club! We're happy to announce that our Chess, Checkers & Cribbage Club is back! This program offers a safe, low stress environment for students to learn and enjoy the games, while engaging in a social activity that is fun for all. Students play with classmates and learn at their own pace. We'd like to start this club at the end of September.
NOTE: We need a few parent volunteers to assist at each campus. While some knowledge of chess, checkers or cribbage is helpful, it isn’t necessary. Please contact Carol Fiore at [email protected] if you can help!
Lower Campus: "Chess and checkers" will meet every other Monday morning at 7:45 AM. "Cribbage" will also meet every other Monday morning at 7:45 AM, alternating weeks with chess and checkers. Stay tuned for a schedule later this month.
Students should enter through the Before Care entrance and check in with the teacher on duty before proceeding to the 4th grade science classroom.
Upper Campus: Chess and checkers is also offered at the upper campus. The club will meet on Monday morning every other week at 7:00 AM in the music room. Students should enter school through the cafeteria doors. Stay tuned for that schedule as well.
Upper Campus Rosary Club – Starting Friday, September 12th and meeting weekly, students at the Upper Campus will have the opportunity to meet for tea, snacks, fellowship, and, of course, most importantly, to pray the Rosary. Our Lady loved Jesus more than anyone who ever lived, and the goal of this group is to come to know and love Him just like she did. The club is open to all and will meet in room 304 (Mrs. Prud'homme's room) from 2:40pm until about 3:15pm each Friday. Come by and check it out!

PARENT VOLUNTEERS

Volunteers will receive a small bag (usually 3-4 towels and 2-3 aprons) of dirty Hot Lunch laundry once per week. Simply wash the items and return the bag to the front desk as soon as possible. That’s it! If you can help out with this, please email Donna Beatrice at [email protected]. Thanks!

Back-to-School Parent Meetings - Back-to-school isn’t just for kids…it’s for parents, too! We will be holding three important parent meetings over the first three weeks of school and encourage ALL parents to attend the applicable meetings! Please note that these are parent only meetings and students should NOT attend.
TONIGHT! New Parent Orientation - All parents who are new to Saint Christopher Academy are encouraged to attend this meeting TONIGHT, Wednesday, September 3rd at 6:30 PM in the gym at the upper campus. This meeting is for parents of children who are new at either the lower or upper campuses! (Parents of students moving from the lower campus to the upper in 6th grade do not need to attend.) Our Book Fair will also be open during the Parent Open House!
TRANSPORTATION
Commuter Student Instructions - Will you be dropping your student off in the morning….or picking him or her up in the afternoon? Please see the important instructions HERE for lower campus students and HERE for upper campus students. We ask everyone’s cooperation in following these instructions very carefully and mindfully in order to keep our students safe and our process orderly and speedy! It is imperative that all parents follow ALL of the instructions. NOTE: The first two weeks of school will be very busy at both drop-off and pick-up time as families learn the procedures and adjust to the timing that works best for them. Please be patient and kind to staff members and other parents.
Absences, Late Arrivals, and Early Dismissals - If your child is going to be absent from school, arriving late due to an appointment, or will need to be dismissed early, you MUST notify the school as soon as possible. Lower campus notifications should be emailed to [email protected] and upper campus notifications should be emailed to [email protected]. Please note:
- Absence or Late Arrival: If a student is absent and we do not receive notification of the absence by 9:00 AM, parents will be contacted to confirm the absence.
- Early Dismissal: Notice of a student’s early dismissal MUST be submitted by 9:00 AM. Parents should not arrive at school to dismiss students without first notifying the school. Last minute and unexpected dismissals are disruptive to the class and may be difficult to accommodate if students are in other parts of the building for gym, recess, art, etc.
Lower Campus After Care Phone Number - Parents who use the lower campus After Care program are reminded that they can contact the After Care staff directly after school hours at 603-438-4735.
Lower Campus After School Student Pick-up Change Notification – We know that in this crazy world a parent’s plans can change without warning! If your wild day necessitates a sudden change in where your child should go after school (After Care, Linda Rousseau’s, carpool pick-up, etc.) or who will pick up (mom, dad, grandma, family friend, etc.), we must be informed by a PHONE CALL to 603-882-7442! Please do not rely on emailing teachers or the office at either campus as they may not be able to check their email until after school is over. With a quick phone call, you can be assured that the front desk will let your child and his/her teacher know about the change in plans as soon as possible.
Also, please do not rely on your student to inform the teacher of ANY pickup changes. Students do not always remember where they are supposed to go at the end of the day and often relay the incorrect information. We are committed to dismissing our students safely and efficiently, but it can be confusing and upsetting to students when they forget about the dismissal change and end up where they are not supposed to be. Rather than relying on the student, please notify the front desk by a phone call at 603-882-7442. Thank you!
