NEW! Thank you -- Thanks this week to parents who responded so positively to our last COVID-19 FAQ’s and to those who sent more questions for us to answer this week!

NEW! COVID-19 FAQ’s #2 -- We have more answers to this week’s most common COVID-19 questions! Please click HERE to view this week’s FAQ’s!

NEW! COVID-19 Health Screening Survey -- As described in our COVID-19 plans and procedures document, parents MUST complete a COVID-19 Health Screening Survey for every child in the family. This document must be returned to school on the first day of classes, September 1. Please click HERE to download the survey for completion.

NEW! Nashua Bus Service Survey - If you did not complete the Nashua bus survey but still need bus service, you must contact the Nashua School Transportation Department as soon as possible. Their phone number is 603-966-1055.

UPDATED! Faculty/Staff Changes - We’d like to welcome Mrs. Corrine Zeman to the staff as the new school nurse at the upper campus! Mrs. Zeman is a current and alumni parent and  is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with a Masters of Science in Nursing from Northeastern University. We are excited to have Mrs. Zeman in this new position!

We would also like to welcome Mr. Nicholas Efstathiou to the upper campus faculty! Mr. Efstathiou is a 1985 graduate of St. Christopher School and a 1987 graduate of Nashua Catholic Jr. High. He holds a Bachelor degree in English Literature from Rivier College and a Master’s Degree in Military History from Norwich University, and is a successful freelance writer. He will be teaching a variety of classes at the upper campus. Welcome Mr. Efstathiou!

NEW! At-Home Learners Materials Pick-up Day - As noted on our COVID-19 FAQ’s last week, parents of At-Home Learners should stop by their campus to pick up books and other materials on Monday, August 31 between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

NEW! Red Brick Backorders - We understand that Red Brick is backordered on some uniform items. Students who are missing uniform pieces are welcome to substitute the appropriate gym uniform piece (for instance, if a girl is missing a skort, she may wear her gym shorts or if a student is missing a new logoed shirt, he may substitute the gym t-shirt) until Red Brick notifies us that back orders have been filled.

Meet the Teacher Day and First Day of School- As announced last week, we will not be holding our traditional Meet the Teacher Day this year due to concerns of overcrowding in our hallways. Instead, parents will receive an email today, Wednesday, August 26, with a secure link to our class lists. Teachers and staff will be stationed throughout the building on the first day of school (September 1!) to help students to their classrooms. Please also remember:

  • All students should be in full uniform on the first day of school and should wear their mask when entering the building.

  • Students should bring in as much of their supplies as possible on the first day without being overwhelmed!

  • Parents are not allowed to enter the building. While we understand it may be difficult for many parents, we must enforce this rule in order to ensure student and teacher health and safety. As noted above, we will have plenty of teachers and staff available to assist students in getting to their classrooms.

Labor Day Weekend - We will have Friday, September 4 and Monday, September 7 off for Labor Day weekend!

2020-21 School Calendar - Looking for the school calendar for the year all on one page? Click HERE to view it!

Updated! New Parent Orientation - New parent Orientation will be held virtually at 7:00 PM on September 3. An invitation with the Orientation session link will be sent in a separate email.

NEW! Cross Country News - Sadly, we have been informed that there will be no Cross Country program this fall through PAL due to COVID-19 restrictions.

NEW! Upper Campus Fall Sports - At this time, the Tri-County League expects fall sports to take place for 6th grade and upper campus students. We will let students know when final plans are in place and teams are forming. Thank you for your patience!

UPDATED! Before and After Care - Extended Day programs will begin on both campuses on the first day of school, September 1. Before Care will open at 6:30 AM and After Care is available until 6:00 PM. All lower campus Before and After Care programs will take place in the Church Hall, so Before Care children should enter through those doors. Upper campus students should enter through the cafeteria doors at the rear of the school.

As a result of our transition to Saint Christopher Academy, we have simplified  our Extended Care billing. This allows us to do online billing through our new Student Information System, which will also simplify the payment of fees for our parents! Please see information about the new fee structure HERE.

NEW! Hot Lunch Ordering -- Ordering for our Hot Lunch program will run from September 2 through September 15 and the first Hot Lunch will be served at both campuses on September 28. Look for ordering instructions in next Wednesday’s News! Note: ALL students at both campuses must bring a lunch from home until Hot Lunch begins on September 28.

Used Uniforms - We have made arrangements with several organizations, including Mary, Gate of Heaven Orphanage in Haiti, to receive our old uniform shirts and gym uniforms...and we are still accepting used uniform pants, shorts, skirts, and skorts! On Monday, August 31, we will place several large boxes outside the front doors of the school and parents are welcome to drop used uniforms in those boxes between the hours of 9 and 3. Thank you for your generosity in donating your used items!

Lower Campus Supply List -- Please click HERE to see the supply list for the lower campus. This list also includes any summer reading. Note: Several of the supply lists ask for parents to supply chlorox (or similar) wipes for the classroom. We recognize that they are difficult to find in stores right now. We have procured enough to get our year started, but please just keep your eyes peeled and send in more whenever you happen to see them! Thanks!

Upper Campus Literature Summer Journal Assignment -- All students at the upper campus must complete the English Literature Summer Journal Assignment that can be found HERE. This must be returned to school during the first week of school.

Students in the Introduction to Pre-Algebra class should click HERE for their work, students in the Pre-Algebra class should click HERE, and those in Algebra should click HERE.

Lower Campus Yearbooks - If you ordered a yearbook last year from St. Christopher School, please stop by the lower campus from Monday to Thursday between 8:30 AM and 2:00 PM, to pick up your book(s). If you are not available during those times, please contact Carol Fiore at [email protected] to make arrangements for another day. Thank you!!

Upper Campus Yearbooks - The upper campus yearbooks (Nashua Catholic 2019-2020) have also arrived! Yearbooks may be picked up any time the school is open from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM or 8th grade returning students may choose to wait to receive their yearbook when they return to school on September 1.
