NEW! Thank You – Thank you to all of the families who came out to Barnes and Noble Night last week! We enjoyed spending the evening with you!  Special thanks to Mrs. Noon for her fabulous organization of the evening’s activities!

Morning Arrival – Please make every effort to have your student/s to school by the time the morning late bell rings at 8:50 AM! Getting to school late is a difficult and often frustrating way for a child to start the day and is quite disruptive to others in the classroom. Students who are on time are more prepared to face the day and are often more successful! Thank you for your attention to this important matter!

Paper Recycling Bin -- Unfortunately, we have learned that the company who has been emptying our paper recycling bin has gone out of business. And, as you may have noticed, the bin is full to the brim! We are in the process of getting the current bin emptied and removed, and are looking for a new recycling company to take our paper without charge. In the meantime, please do not try to put any paper in the bin. In addition, do not add paper to the regular dumpster next to it...this is for the school’s trash only. Thank you!

3D Design Club at St Chris!  Is your child interested in 3D printing?  Using 3D design software, the students will learn how to create a design that can be transformed into a 3-dimensional object, and then printed on the school's Makerbot printer.  No experience is necessary, and the club is open to 4th - 6th graders.  The club will meet in the computer lab, beginning on Friday January 11th at 7:45 AM.  The club will meet every other Friday, for 5 Fridays. Parents - interested in helping out Club Coordinator Tom McCarthy? You don't need to be experienced with the software in order to lend a hand! Sign up’s for both students and adult helpers can be found HERE

UPDATED! Annual Fund– The second of our three annual fundraisers, the Annual Fund, is underway! Many thanks to those who have already donated! We have raised $9,600 towards our $34,000 goal! All gifts to the Annual Fund stay here at St. Chris and go directly to benefit our students through advanced academics, updated technology and facilities, and exciting extracurricular activities. In addition, because the cost of educating our students exceeds our tuition, EVERY St. Christopher School student receives financial aid supported by our fundraising efforts. Please support us in our mission to provide an excellent Catholic elementary education to all students by donating to the Annual Fund! All donations, no matter the size, are most appreciated! If you did not receive an Annual Fund letter, or know someone you think should receive a letter, please email Marta at [email protected]. Thank you!

Donating to the Annual Fund is easy! Please consider a donation using any of the following methods:

  • Return the remittance envelope included in your Annual Fund letter along with a check, cash, or credit card number.
  • Send a check or cash in to school in an envelope marked “Annual Fund”.
  • Call Business Manager Murrayann Abucewicz at 882-7442, ext. 113, to have your credit card charged manually.
  • Or donate online through Paypal HERE.

However you choose to donate, please know that we are MOST grateful!

Winter School Delays and Cancellations – In the case of inclement weather, school cancellations or delays will be posted on the website, on our Facebook page, on radio station WZID 95.7 FM and also on TV channel 9 (WMUR). Parents will also receive text messages on their cell phones, voice messages on home phones, and emails through our Notify system.

Please note that our Notify system is not foolproof….power and internet outages may interfere with delivery of the text messages, robocalls, and voice messages. We will post the information on the school website and Facebook, as well as contacting WMUR, as soon as we are able. Please also know that we do not post school delays or closings until we receive confirmation from the appropriate administrator in the Nashua public schools, which may delay notification in some cases. Thank you for your understanding!

St. Christopher School follows the Nashua Public School System for all cancellations and delayed openings. Therefore, delayed openings are 2 hours. When there is a delayed opening, there is no school for the AM Pre-K. Before Care will take place starting at 9:00 AM and morning enrichment activities will begin 2 hours later than normally scheduled. Please note that there will be NO Band or Fiddle Squad on delayed openings. Doors are open for regular drop-off at 10:30 AM and school starts at 10:50 AM for all grades Full Day Kindergarten through 6.

Auction Website is UP! – It’s never too early to start thinking about our 15th Annual St. Christopher School Auction! This fun adult evening out is the event of the year and our biggest fundraiser! This year’s Auction is “St. Chris Rocks” and will have a retro 80’s theme and will take place on Saturday, March 23 at Sky Meadow Country Club. The event’s website is now up and running, and offers lots of information about the event, suggestions for donations, opportunities for sponsorship and advertising, and, of course, ticket sales! Check it out HERE

NEW! Financial Aid Applications for 2019-2020 – As always, our goal is to make a St. Christopher education affordable for any family! To that end, applications for Financial Aid for the 2019-2020 school year will open on January 1st  and run through March 15 and all families in need are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.  All oldest and only students will be sent home with a packet of information regarding the Financial Aid process today. The packet can also be accessed HERE. Please read the information carefully. All families interested in financial aid MUST follow the packet instructions or aid will not be given. If you have any questions, please contact either Mrs. Clarke at [email protected] or Business Manager Murrayann Abucewicz at [email protected].

NEW! 2019-2020 Registration – On January 2, parents of students currently in grades 2 through 5 will be sent an email with a link to the registration form for the 2019-2020 school year. (Due to volume constraints on our system’s email system, the link will be sent to whoever is listed on the student online registration as the “primary” contact. Please contact Marta at [email protected] if another parent should receive the registration information.) The online registration form must be completed and submitted for these students by January 31, along with a $160 registration fee to be paid online at the time of registration. Please know that students whose registrations are returned after that date will not be guaranteed a seat for next year.

NEW! Hot Lunch Ordering – Don’t forget that Hot Lunch ordering for February on Boonli.com will open on January 1st, while we are on Christmas vacation! As usual, we cannot accept orders past midnight on January 15, so don’t be late!

NEW! Winter Fine Arts Festival – Our student musicians and artists have been hard at work preparing the Winter Fine Arts Festival scheduled for January 17 at 6:00 PM and they can’t wait to share their talents! Our bands, Fiddle Squads, and choruses will all perform. All are invited to attend, including those who do not yet have a student involved in one of the musical programs…this is a great way for parents and students (especially in younger grades) experience all that our Fine Arts programs have to offer!

NEW! School/Parish Mass and Coffee Hour – Please join our school and parish family on Sunday, January 27 at the 10:00 AM mass, followed by a Coffee Hour immediately after! This is a great time to reconnect with friends after the busy holiday season! All students who attend mass in uniform will receive a Free Dress pass for Tuesday, February 5.

NEW! Open Houses for Prospective Families – Start spreading the word! We will be holding two Open Houses for prospective families in January and we’d love to fill the halls with new friends! The first Open House will take place on Sunday, January 27 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM, immediately following our Parish/School Mass and Coffee Hour. The second Open House will take place on Tuesday, January 29 from 9:30-11:00 AM. Please share with friends and family!
