November 16, 2022

NEW! Thank You! Thank you, thank you to all those wonderful families who sent in delicious breakfast and lunch goodies for upper campus teachers today! The extra nutrition (and treats!) will help our faculty power through their long day and parent-teacher conferences tonight!

NEXT WEEK! Upper Campus Parent-Teacher Conferences - Upper campus parent-teacher conferences will take on a new format this year! TONIGHT, November 16, from 4:00 - 7:00 PM, faculty will be stationed throughout the gymnasium and cafeteria and will welcome parents for short conferences on a first-come, first-served basis. Parents are encouraged to review their student's schedule and prioritize meeting with teachers whose class is challenging a student most. Parents are not required to attend or to speak with all of a student's teachers.

TOMORROW NIGHT! Lower Campus Parent-Teacher Conferences - Parent-teacher conferences at the lower campus are scheduled for TOMORROW, Thursday, November 17 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. At least one parent/guardian must meet with each child's homeroom teacher at the lower campus at this time.

NEW! Lost and Found - While you are here for parent-teacher conferences tomorrow evening, be sure to check out the lost and found table in the lobby! Soooo many great items have found their way to the table and we know they belong to SOMEBODY! Please take home what is yours!

NEW! Hot Lunch Substitutes – We are in great need of substitutes for our Hot Lunch program on both campuses! If you can’t commit to a regular hot lunch shift but are occasionally available on a more flexible schedule, please consider adding yourself to our sub list. With winter’s cold and flu season coming, we do find that having a robust sub list is important for last minute volunteer cancellations due to illness! Please email Marta at [email protected] to be added to the list!

Note: The upper campus commitment is from 10:15 to approximately 12:15 and the lower campus commitment is from 11:15 to approximately 1:15. Thanks!

NEXT WEEK! Thanksgiving Break -- We will be out of school next week from November 23-25 for Thanksgiving Break! Enjoy your turkey and your time with friends and family!

NEW! December and January Calendar Notes -- Looking ahead to December and January, we have a few schedule notes for your calendar:

These shirts are not part of the official uniform but may be worn on Spirit Days (including Spirit Day during our January Catholic Schools Week!), on free dress days, to sports or other events, or whenever your student (or you!) want to show a little Saint Chris pride.

Short sleeved shirts are $9.50 and long sleeved shirts are $12.95. Both are navy blue with white writing. Youth and adult sizes are available! Orders are due by Friday, December 2. All shirts will be delivered to the school and sent home with students after the deadline.

NEW! Lower Campus Early Dismissal/Change in Pick-up - Please be sure to contact BOTH your child’s teacher AND the front desk ([email protected] or 603-882-7442, ext. 500) if your lower campus child will be leaving school early for an appointment or has a change in afternoon pick-up. Teachers are often busy teaching and may not see an email until you are here to pick up your child. The front desk can be sure that your child is ready to go when you arrive!

Parent Group/Teacher Appreciation - If you would like to participate in future teacher appreciation activities/events, please fill out the Sign-Up Genius HERE!

NEW! Auction Theme and Website – Exciting news….we have selected our Auction theme for our March 25, 2023 event… “Roll Out the Red Carpet for Saint Chris”! The night will include silent and live auctions, raffles, drinks, and a delicious sit-down dinner. Attire of all kinds is welcome…feel free to dress to the theme or not!

More details about the Auction will be coming soon, but we are accepting donations, sponsorships, advertising, and ticket sales now on the Auction website HERE! Check it out!

Note:  If you placed a late order directly with O’Connor Studios and have not received your portrait package yet, you do not need a retake.  Please call O’Connor Studios before Retake Day to check on your order.

Parking Lot Student Dismissal Behavior - Parents are reminded that all children, including students and younger siblings, must follow all school rules when in either the upper or lower parking lots even though the school day has ended at dismissal time. Parents are responsible for ensuring that the following rules are enforced at all times:

  • No throwing of objects of any kind
  • No rolling down the hill in front of the kindergarten
  • No climbing trees or hanging from their branches
  • No hanging on handrails
  • No walking on walls, particularly the patio walls between the rectory and the church
  • No jumping down into the “well” next to the church
  • No running/walking into the parking lot without close parent supervision

Thank you for helping us to keep all of our students…and their families…safe!

Lower Campus Library News -  It's Birthday Book time! Your lower campus student should have brought a flyer home with more information on the birthday book program. It is a great way to commemorate their birthday and will be shared with others for many years to come! Books typically cost between $11-$16 and are library bound. If you have more than one student, please consider ordering books for all of them at once. Books are taking a very long time to come in, so ordering sooner than later is appreciated. You can find more information HERE. If you have any questions please email Mrs. Noon at [email protected]. Happy Reading!

Ski Club Registration for BOTH Campuses – It’s that time again! Ski Club sign-up time! Winter is fast approaching and we will be starting our ski program in January this year. We will be going to Crotched Mountain. This year, Ski Club will be a 7-week program, running from 4:00 - 8:00 PM on Fridays starting January 13!  There will be 5 weeks of lessons and 2 weeks of free skiing. Cost is $289, or $149 for season pass holders. All sign-ups are made through the Crotched website directly HERE. Deadline to register is December 1st. There will be a separate fee for buses that will be determined once we know how many students will be riding. If your child will be taking the bus, please sign up via the link HERE.

We will be needing some chaperones to help at the mountain so if you are interested please email Mrs. Joyce directly at [email protected]. Looking forward to another fabulous ski season!
