NEXT WEEK! Catholic Schools/Spirit Week The NCEA will hold its annual national Catholic Schools Week from January 31 to February 4….and we will be celebrating Spirit Week on both campuses of Saint Christopher Academy!  As promised, you can see the schedule of events for the week HERE! The week includes themed free dress days, our 4th annual Day of Giving, a Corpus Christi Brown Bag drive, and more, so be sure to check it out!

 

NEW! Day of Giving - Saint Chris is excited to once again participate in the National Catholic Education Association's online giving campaign: Many Gifts, One Nation: A Day of Giving to Catholic Schools, scheduled for noon on Tuesday, February 1 through noon on Wednesday, February 2. During this day of philanthropy, camaraderie, and fun, we invite all those who have been touched by Saint Chris to join together to meet our donation goal. The day will include incentives for donors, plus ongoing donation updates, and photos on our school Facebook page HERE and Instagram page HERE

 

A favorite part of the 24-hour event is the Gift Card Raffle…make a donation and you could be a winner! One lucky donor will be selected during each of the time slots below to win a $25 gift card! Here's the schedule:

DEADLINE on MONDAY! Veteran Student Registration - Registration for current students for the 2022-2023 school year is due this coming Monday, January 31!! Those students who are not registered as of January 31 will not have a guaranteed seat for the Fall. We will beginning admitting new students on February 1. If you have any questions, please contact Enrollment Coordinator Lorrice Bedard at [email protected].

 

To complete our online registration process, the enrollment responsible parent should access the Family Portal through his/her existing Family Portal login:

  • Go to www.factsmgt.com
  • Our District Code is SCA-NH. Type in your username and password.  
  • After logging in, click on Apply/Enroll in the left menu.
  • Click on the Enrollment/Reenrollment link.
  • The Online Enrollment system will open with a link to the registration/enrollment packet. Your information will be saved if you need to quit and come back later.

 

NEXT WEEK! Financial Aid Applications for 2022-2023 Applications for Saint Christopher Academy Financial Aid for the 2022-2023 school year should be completed by next Monday, January 31. All families with a financial need are encouraged to apply for Financial Aid! 

 

You can apply through the Financial section in your Family Portal.  The level of Saint Christopher School Financial Aid is determined by FACTS and will be posted on April 1, 2022. Note: Financial Aid applicants will also be required to apply for financial aid from the Children’s Scholarship Fund at a later date. Financial aid may also be available from the NH Education Freedom Account program. Parents will be informed when the application windows open for each program. Saint Christopher Financial Aid will take into account any award from the Children's Scholarship Fund or the Education Freedom Account when awarding aid to families.

NEW! 5th Grade Step-Up Day - 5th grade students are invited to “step up” for a visit to the upper campus on the morning of February 9 (our next day off)! Invitations with details about the morning were sent to parents last week. To help in planning, parents MUST complete an RSVP by THIS Friday, January 31 if they would like to have their child attend the event. Parents can find the RSVP HERE!

 

New Hampshire Teacher of the Year Nominations - We think you’ll agree….our teachers are the best of the best! If you’d like to see your child’s teacher honored for his or her fabulous teaching, please consider a nomination to the New Hampshire Department of Education’s NH Teacher of the Year award! The purpose of this program is to select a teacher who is capable of speaking for and energizing the teaching profession and who represents the positive contributions of all teachers statewide. A Teacher of the Year candidate should be an exceptionally dedicated, knowledgeable, and skilled classroom teacher in New Hampshire who demonstrates leadership and intends to continue in the teaching profession. Nominations are being accepted through February 11 and can be made HERE!

 

LIBRARY NEWS: Birthday Book Program -  If you would like to order a book for the library in your student's name commemorating their birthday, please send Mrs. Noon an email at [email protected] and let her know. Your student will choose a library bound book and Mrs. Noon will send home a slip with the book name and cost, usually between $10-$15. Feel free to pay by check, cash or we can bill you and you can pay online. Once the book comes in, Mrs. Noon will process it with a bookplate which will include your student's name, their birth month and school year. The bookplate will be placed on the inside cover.Your student will be the first to check it out!  The sooner we get the orders in the better! Thank you so much for supporting our school library. UPDATED! Annual Fund  - Thank you to all those who have already returned their Annual Fund donation! Our donation total so far is almost $42,000 with gifts from over 170 different families...hooray!  All gifts to the Annual Fund stay here at Saint Chris and directly benefit our students through advanced academics, updated technology and facilities, and other important programs. In addition, because the cost of educating our students exceeds our tuition, EVERY St. Christopher School student receives discounted tuition supported by our fundraising efforts. UPDATED! Auction News!

At this year's exciting event, you'll be "In the Winner's Circle with Saint Chris" as we experience the Kentucky Derby in Saint Chris style! The adult only evening is a great night of raffles, silent and live auctions, drinks, and a delicious buffet dinner at our new venue, Alpine Grove in Hollis. As our largest fundraising event of the year, this is a great night out with friends, family, alumni, faculty, and community supporters. Formal invitations to the auction go in the mail in mid February!

 

Auctioneer Needed: Due to a conflict in our auctioneer's schedule, we find ourselves looking for someone new to emcee our event and conduct our fast and exciting Live Auction!
