Gifts to the Annual Fund touch the lives of all Saint Christopher Academy students. Tuition only covers 75% of the actual cost of a Saint Chris education, but each year hundreds of loyal Saint Chris alumni, parents, and friends contribute to the fund and help meet the ongoing need for flexible, unrestricted income to support our academic mission. As unrestricted gifts, these contributions are used by the Academy on a daily basis where the needs and opportunities are greatest.
Gifts are acknowledged each summer in our Honor Roll of Donors which is included with the News & Notes newsletter sent to alumni, current parents, and friends of Saint Christopher Academy. Annual Fund donors are listed in giving societies as follows:
- Leadership Circle ($5,000 or more)
- Sisters of Mercy Guild ($2,500 - $4,999)
- St. Elizabeth Seton Society ($1,000 - $2,499)
- St. Christopher Society ($500 - $999)
- Wildcat Pride Club ($100 - $499)
- Friends (under $100)
Gifts may be made as simple donations, or in the following forms:
In Honor of
These gifts are made in honor of an individual and/or in recognition of special occasions such as a birthday, anniversary, wedding, graduation or other special occasion. Any gift to Saint Christopher Academy may be made in honor of another. The honoree will receive notification of the gift from the Academy.
In Memory of
A memorial gift serves as a remembrance of a loved one, a true friend, respected teacher, or valued colleague while helping ensure the mission of Saint Christopher Academy continues for future generations. Any gift to Saint Chris may be made in memory of another. The family of the deceased receives notification of the gift from the Academy.

Matching Gifts
Many companies will match charitable gifts made by their employees with a 1:1 or sometimes a 2:1 match. Check with your Human Resources department...you may be surprised to learn that your company also provides this benefit! Some employers even continue to match gifts from retirees. In most cases, your company will provide a paper or website form for the school to complete and return once your gift has been made. Your company’s donation will be sent directly to the school. You will receive credit for both your gift and the matching gift when the school determines your Giving Society.
