Substitute Teachers Needed - Saint Chris is looking for substitute teachers on a per diem basis!  Substitute teachers are needed periodically throughout the year starting immediately. Our subs are very valuable to us and we would be happy to talk with you about joining our school family. College education or experience working with children is preferred. Substitutes are paid per day worked. Please contact Mrs. Clarke at [email protected] if you are interested!

NEW! School Portraits - School portraits have been scheduled for October 13 on both campuses. This year, we have changed photographers and will be using O’Connor Studios out of Tewksbury, MA rather than Lifetouch. In the near future, you will receive an email series from O’Connor reminding you of the upcoming portrait date and asking you to create an online account to order portraits. (Note: Once you have created your online account, you will no longer receive the reminder emails.) We are excited about this change and look forward to seeing how O’Connor captures our students’ smiling faces!

NEW! Water Filler Stations at the Lower Campus - Two of our fabulous parents recently reached out to us about replacing our lower campus water fountains with water bottle filler stations...and we agree it’s a great idea! These stations are a super way to allow kids to stay healthy by upping their water intake and to be environmentally proactive at the same time! The project will cost approximately $5,000 total for two stations, one on the first floor and one on the second. If you are interested in contributing to the project, you can contact Marta Nissen at [email protected] or forward a donation to her attention.

NEW! Additional Facilities Projects - We also have two exciting projects in the works at the upper campus! Please contact Marta at [email protected] if you would like to support either of these efforts!

Gym Audio System - If you’ve ever attended one of our many events in the gym at the upper campus….from athletic events and drama productions to masses and graduations...you know that the gym’s aging audio system is less than adequate. We are working on replacing that system so that we can hear everything loud and clear from all parts of the gym! The cost on this project would be approximately $15,000.

Science Lab Upgrade - While this project is still at an early stage, we are investigating ideas for modernizing this important space at the upper campus.  This large classroom offers many possibilities for deepening our STEM curriculum with updated lab equipment and programming to further engage student interest in the sciences. Estimated cost for this project is still under development.

Hot Lunch Ordering for November- Hard to believe, but online ordering for November’s Hot Lunch through Boonli.com begins on Friday! Since we can not accommodate orders placed after midnight on the 15th, please be sure to log in early just in case you run into technical issues. Orders are not placed until you complete the entire ordering process and receive a confirmation email from Boonli.

UPDATED! Upper Campus Volunteer Slot - Only one Hot Lunch volunteer slot left at the upper campus! (The lower campus is completely full…..thank you!) This would be a once a month commitment on the following Tuesdays: 10/12, 11/19, 12/7, 1/18, 2/15, 3/22, 4/19, 5/24. Please see the Sign-Up Genius HERE to volunteer! Thank you!

NEW! Lower Campus Hot Lunch Laundry Volunteer - The lower campus is looking for a few parents to work “behind the scenes” on Hot Lunch by doing the Hot Lunch laundry once or twice a week. This isn’t a heavy load...just a few aprons and small towels. If you can help, please send Marta an email at [email protected]. Thanks!

NEW! Pickup Parking Reminder- Parents of Nashua riders who park in the upper parish parking lot are reminded that they should not be parking in any of the spaces closest to the rectory. Thanks!

NEW! No School Reminder - Please remember that we will have NO school on Friday, October 8 and Monday, October 11. Friday is a professional development day for our teachers, and Monday is the Columbus Day holiday!
