Diocesan Virtual Summer Institute! - The Catholic Schools Office is again offering a Virtual Summer Institute for students in grade K to 8. The online program will be free of charge for four consecutive weeks from July 5 to July 30. Classes are available on a first come, first serve basis and registration must be completed by June 1 HERE. Please see the letter HERE for more information.
UPDATED! THIS WEEK! Tuition Agreements Must Be Signed - All families who will be attending Saint Christopher Academy for the 2021-2022 school year were sent an email from Director of Business Operations Matt McKenna (firstname.lastname@example.org) two weeks ago. Tuition agreements have been posted in the Financial section of the Family Portal. (Once in your FACTS Tuition Management profile, the agreement is located under the FORMS column.) The agreements list the overall tuition for next year by grade, plus any applicable fees and policies. All tuition agreements must be electronically signed through the Family Portal by THIS Friday, May 21. Once this is completed, tuition amounts and fees, along with any financial aid, TIP program awards, multi-family discounts, etc. will be applied to your FACTS tuition management account by the end of May. You will receive notification that this has been completed. First payments for the 2021-2022 school year are due in July according to the payment schedule you have selected.
NEW! Tuition Deposit - As outlined in the email from Matt McKenna, tuition deposits of $250 per student are also due. Tuition deposits are non-refundable, and are applied to your total tuition. You may pay the tuition deposit prior to signing the tuition agreement, but the agreement must still be completed. The $250 deposit will be automatically withdrawn on Friday for any family who has auto withdrawal set up as their current FACTS tuition payment plan. Otherwise, the deposit may be paid through the Family Portal or by check to the school.

NEW! $25 Mac Computers - We will be upgrading the computer lab at the lower campus, and need to make room for the new equipment! We are hoping to find good homes for the existing Macs Computers from the lab. The Macs are from the model years 2008-2009 with a 20" screen, running MacOS 10.11.x We are selling them for $25 (keyboard and mouse not included). NEW! Upper Campus Parking - We’re almost to the end of the year, so please continue to keep in mind the following parking restrictions at all times at the upper campus in order to avoid a ticket….or worse yet….a towing!
- Be mindful of our handicapped spot in front of the school.
- Don't block neighbors' driveways!
- Park on the school side of Bartlett Avenue and the school side of the side streets. Parking is only allowed on one side of the street.
- Don't park too close to the street corners (especially by the school entrance).

NEW! Lower Campus Used Uniform Closet - Have your kids outgrown their uniforms? Don’t forget that we have a used uniform closet! Donations of all outgrown uniform pieces are accepted and parents are also welcome to make an appointment to come in after school and look for uniform pieces to fit their growing children. Currently, we do not have any of the Academy logoed items (polo shirts, gym shirts/shorts/pants) as this is our first year with the new pieces, but we have an abundance of jumpers, skirts, skorts, and boys pants and shorts. Donations can be sent into the front desk at any time. Appointments to look through the closet can be made with Marta at firstname.lastname@example.org.

2021-2022 School Calendar - Our school calendar for the 2021-2022 school year has been approved! You can find it HERE. Please note that like this year, the schedule may be a bit fluid based on the COVID situation during the year. However, you will be informed of any schedule changes as soon as possible!
Memorial Day No School - Monday, May 31 is Memorial Day….and there will be NO school that day!
Early Release Reminder - Friday, June 4 will be an early release day for both campuses so that teachers can attend a Diocesan event. Students at the upper campus will be released at 11:30 AM and grades 1-6 students at the lower campus will be released at 12:00 PM. Prekindergarten will be released at 11:40 and Kindergarten will be released at 11:45. There will be NO After Care that day.
Lower Campus LIBRARY NEWS:
Birthday Book Program - May 14th final deadline Wow! Over 65 birthday books have been donated to the lower campus library this year! Thank you so much for your generosity. There is still time to order a birthday book or a graduation book for our lower campus library. Books are taking a bit longer than usual to arrive, so please send me an email by May 14th stating that your child would like to participate. I will meet with your student and send home a slip with the book title and cost. Once I receive the payment, I will order the book. When the book comes in, I will place a bookplate on the inside cover with your child's name on it, and they will be the first to check it out!
Lower Campus Book Returns - May 14th is the last day to put books on hold! The last day for students to put books on hold is May 14th. After that, I will be collecting all library books, unless it is a book report book and the student still needs it. If you are wondering which books your student has checked out, visit the online catalog and log in using their username and password. Students in grades 2-6 have login information. If you would like their username and password, please email me and I will send it to you. Thank you for your help with getting all of our library books returned in a timely fashion! Camp Bernadette and Camp Fatima - Our Diocesan summer camps, Camp Bernadette for girls and Camp Fatima for boys, are accepting registrations for this summer! Happy Hearts Daycare Openings -- Happy Hearts Daycare located at 12 Cushing Ave, across the street from the lower campus, has openings for before and after care! The hours are 6:30 to 8:30 and 3:00 to 5:30. They accommodate on snow days, two hour delays, early releases, no school days (except for the major holidays) and even if there is a power outage :) Care also available on the Christmas, February and April vacation weeks.
