January 20, 2021

NEW! Thank You - We have thank you’s to send out this week to two generous parents! Many thanks to Will Davis for his donation of a case of hand sanitizer and to the Hidalgo family for their donation of cleaning supplies! We will put all of this to great use in keeping our students and staff safe!

THIS WEEK! Registration for Veteran Students - Registration for current students for the 2021-2022 school year is now open and due by THIS Friday, January 22!! Instructions for registration were emailed on January 1 to the parent listed as the primary enrollment contact in the student’s record.  (The enrollment responsible parent can be changed by emailing Marta Nissen at mnissen@saintchrisacademy.org).

To complete our online registration process, the enrollment responsible parent should access the Family Portal through his/her existing Family Portal login:

  • Go to www.factsmgt.com
  • Select Parent Log In from the menu bar and FACTS Family Portal from the drop-down menu.
  • Our District Code is SCA-NH. Type in your username and password.
  • After logging in, click on Apply/Enroll in the left menu.
  • Click on the Enrollment/Reenrollment link.
  • The Online Enrollment system will open with a link to the registration/enrollment packet. Your information will be saved if you need to quit and come back later.

Registrations are due by January 22 and require a $150 enrollment/registration fee, payable by credit card or checking withdrawal at the time of enrollment. As part of the enrollment/registration process, all parents must create a FACTS online payment account. As part of our new Renweb Student Information System, Saint Chris is  moving to a centralized billing system through the Family Portal, which is tied to FACTS Tuition Management. This allows the school and parents to have one online place to go for all student information and forms, as well as billing and payment systems. Therefore, many future invoices for "incidentals" like Extended Care, book fees, field trip fees (whenever we can do them again!), graduation fees, etc., will now take place through FACTS in the Family Portal. NOTE: You will be asked to select a preliminary method for paying tuition (one payment, two payments, or monthly payment). Please note that parents may change this choice once tuition rates and contracts are released. Note that your child’s registration is not complete until you hit the “Submit Enrollment and Submit Payment” button. You will receive an email confirmation that the registration/reenrollment is complete.

Please note that due to high interest from new families interested in joining the Saint Chris community, current families who do not register by January 22 will forfeit their child's seat for the Fall. For more information, please contact Admissions Coordinator Lorrice Bedard at lbedard@saintchrisacademy.org.

Financial Aid Applications for 2021-2022 Applications for Financial Aid and the Children’s Scholarship Fund for the 2021-2022 school year are now being accepted. All families with a financial need are encouraged to apply for Financial Aid! To apply, parents must do the following in this order:

  1. Apply to the Children's Scholarship Fund HERE if eligible. (The eligibility rules are listed on the Children's Scholarship Fund website) The Children's Scholarship Fund is a source of financial assistance for families in need in NH. Awards are made on a first come, first served basis, so parents are encouraged to apply early.
  2. Apply to St. Christopher School Financial Aid through the Financial section in your Family Portal (click on the link under “Financial Links” on the right side of the window).  The level of Saint Christopher School Financial Aid is determined by FACTS. Please be aware that Saint Christopher Financial Aid will take into account any award from the Children's Scholarship Fund when awarding aid to families.

Parent Demographic Information - Parents now have the ability to update their own personal demographic information (name, address, phone, etc.) in the Family Portal, allowing the school to have quick access to important contact information. To update, log in to your Family Portal and look for “Family” in the left hand navigation menu. Select “Family Home,” then look for “Parent Demographic Information Form.”

Family Directory - As we continue to expand our Family Portal with valuable information for our parents, we will soon be debuting our online Family Directory! This directory is ONLY available in the Family Portal to families who are currently registered in the school. The Parent Demographic Form discussed above includes the opportunity to select what, if any, information you would like included in the online Family Directory. Please take a moment to complete that form! The online directory will go live on Monday, February 1st!

New! Catholic Schools/Spirit Week The NCEA will hold its annual national Catholic Schools Week from February 1 to February 5….and we will be celebrating Spirit Week here at St. Chris!  A schedule of the week’s events will be included in next week’s Wednesday News and will include themed free dress days, our 3rd annual Day of Giving, a Name the Wildcat vote, a Corpus Christi Brown Bag drive, and more!

Remote Learner Photos - We are starting to put together our Yearbook and are in need of photos of our remote learners in action! In particular, we are looking for photos of students in uniforms as they work and attend class at home. Please email all photos to Carol Fiore at cfiore@saintchrisacademy.org.

Seasonal Flu - COVID may be on everyone’s minds, but we wanted to remind parents that flu season is also upon us! Luckily, many of the COVID precautions we are taking also apply to the flu. Please take a moment to review the following information HERE from the CDC. Also, please be aware that if you or your child must be tested for COVID, you can often also request a flu test at the same time!

Remote Learning Expectations -  If your child is new to remote learning, we ask you to review our At Home Learner Expectations that were published at the beginning of the school year. You can find them HERE. These expectations were created to facilitate the best learning experience for both at home and in school learners and we require that all expectations be met.

Please Note:  It is imperative that all remote students must appear on camera, in uniform, and participate in every class during the day.  If one or more of these is not followed, students may be marked absent for the day and receive a zero for all of the day’s work.

Front Door Morning Drop-off - Please remember that according to our COVID procedures, no students should be waiting at the front doors of the school prior to the first bell of the day. Once the bell rings and the doors are open, students may get out of their cars and enter the buildings. Keeping social distancing is important, even outside the building before the school day starts.

UPDATED! Annual Fund  - Thank you to all those who have already returned their Annual Fund donation! Our donation total so far is over $38,000 with gifts from 140 different families...hooray!  All gifts to the Annual Fund stay here at Saint Chris and directly benefit our students through advanced academics, updated technology and facilities, and other important programs. In addition, because the cost of educating our students exceeds our tuition, EVERY St. Christopher School student receives discounted tuition supported by our fundraising efforts. We ask you to support our mission to provide an excellent Catholic education to all students at Saint Christopher Academy by donating to the Annual Fund at the level your family is most comfortable. All donations, no matter the size, are MOST appreciated. To donate online, please click HERE.
