November 10/11

Thank You! Thank you to Michael and Andrea Richards for the yummy treats for our faculty and staff today! It made our day to come in and start the day with something sweet to eat!

UPDATED AGAIN! COVID Response Form -- All parents on both campuses must complete the COVID Response Form each day BEFORE school begins. This form is your certification that your child is well and able to attend school for that day, as we are all counting on each other to stay safe and keep the school open!  If you have not completed the form by 9:00 AM, students will be briefly pulled from class so that the school nurse can take his or her temperature. We have now posted the link to the form on the front page of the Academy website and the lower and upper campus sites. When you land on the website, a white box will appear in the upper right corner. Clicking that will take you right to the log in for the online form! The form is also available through the Family Portal HERE

NEW! Extended Care Billing - Families with Extended Care charges for October should have received statements via email last week. These bills have been posted to the Finance section of the Family Portal. However, we are having some issues with the portals connecting to our bank, so parents are unable to pay those bills online at this time. We are actively working with the software company to get this issue fixed. Parents may choose to wait to pay the bill when the system is working correctly, or may send in a check to Saint Christopher Academy which we will manually apply to Extended Day charges. So sorry for the inconvenience!

Report Cards - Hard to believe,  but we’ve come to the end of the first quarter of school!

  • Links to upper campus report cards were emailed last week to parents. If you did not receive an email with your student’s link, please contact Sue Coker at [email protected]. The link is valid for 14 days, so be sure to click on the link ASAP.
  • THIS WEEK! Lower campus report cards will be sent home with students THIS Friday, November 13. They must be signed and returned by Wednesday, November 18.

Parent Teacher Conferences - Traditionally, both campuses hold Parent Teacher Conferences during the latter part of November. Unfortunately,  COVID precautions make those in-person conferences impossible for the safety of both teachers and parents. Therefore, teachers will be holding virtual conferences to will allow parents to meet with teachers and discuss student progress. More details on those conferences will be forthcoming from individual teachers.

NEW! Hot Lunch Ordering - Don’t forget to order Hot Lunch for December! Ordering will be open until midnight on November 15. No late orders can be accepted, so please log on to Boonli.com and order today!

THIS WEEK! New Parent Check-In Meeting -- Parents new to the Academy this year are invited to a New Parent Check-In Meeting via Zoom THIS Thursday, November 12 at 7:00 PM. As promised, this a follow-up meeting to our New Parent Orientation. Mrs. Clarke and others will be available during the session to talk about the year so far and what we can do to support our new families in their first year at Saint Chris. A Zoom invite will be sent to all new parents TODAY. If you do not receive the invitation by the end of the school day, please contact Marta at [email protected].

Winter Outerwear Reminder for Lower Campus Parents -- Despite the beautiful weather this week, winter will be here soon,, so it’s time to remind everyone about wearing appropriate outerwear for the colder months! Our lower campus students WILL be going out to recess as long as the temperature is above 20 degrees and it is not raining, so they should be wearing winter coats, hats, and gloves when the weather is cold. Boots should also be worn when it is cold and especially when it is snowy….please remember to have students bring their regular school shoes in their backpack too as they are not allowed to wear boots in school. We know that students often resist wearing winter clothes, but we are counting on parents to help us keep our kids warm and healthy!

NEXT WEEK! Lifetouch Retake Day - Did your child miss today’s portrait day? Was your child not feeling smiley today?  No worries! We have scheduled our Lifetouch Retake Day for Wednesday, November 18! For instructions on having your child’s picture retaken, click HERE. Any new students since picture day will receive an order envelope prior to Retake Day.

November No School Days -- Please mark the following NO School Days on your November calendar:

  • November 25 - 27: Thanksgiving Break

Walker and Outside Nashua Dismissal - Please note that all walkers who are crossing Manchester Street are now being crossed by the teacher on duty at the lower crosswalk at Hall Avenue. We have had several near accidents at the upper crosswalk and have decided that it is unsafe for our students to cross there. In addition, should parents need to cross Manchester St., we would highly suggest that they also do so at the lower crosswalk by Hall Ave.
