NEW! Thank You Today’s shoutout goes to Mrs. Clarke for her constant support of our teachers, students, and families as they continue to navigate this remote learning challenge! In our absence from the building, Mrs. Clarke has shared many, many online resources to our teachers, kept the building running (including a late night visit to school with John Levesque to fix a leaking pipe!), and encouraged our students through her morning announcements. Thank you, Mrs. Clarke!

Hot Lunch for May CANCELED – Due to the obvious uncertainty about when we will be returning to school, we have decided to cancel the Hot Lunch program for May. We were concerned about collecting additional funds from parents at this challenging time that would need to be refunded should school be canceled. We are currently working on refunding those payments which were made for the days which were already missed in March and April. Thank you for your patience as we work through all of these changes!

NEW! Checking Assignments in Google Classroom (Tech Tip of the Week from Mrs. Litch!) –Parents, your child has many different google classrooms, and we want to make sure that you know that there are several ways to find out what work has been assigned.   One great thing about Google Classroom is that it replaces the child's written agenda and nothing gets forgotten!  Here's a rundown of the different ways - try them all to determine what works best for your child!

  1. Under the menu on the left you will see both a "calendar" and a "to- do" list.  The calendar shows a weekly view of assignments (very similar to the written agenda), and you can select to see for all classes or for a specific class.  The "to-do" list is simply a list of all work and it can be separated into separate lists for "missing", "due today", and "no due date"

  1. Under the "waffle" on the right, you will see the Google Calendar. If you are on an ipad, this is a separate app.  This is the same google calendar app that many families use to schedule family activities or for work.  It can give monthly or weekly views of assignments, and you can select which classrooms to show.

  1. When you select a specific classroom, you can see a summary of the work due for that classroom on the stream.

If you have difficulty or questions, please email Mrs. Litch at [email protected].

3rd Quarter Report Cards -- 3rd quarter report cards for grades 1-6 were emailed last week. Note that PreK and Kdg do not receive 3rd quarter report cards. If you did not receive your child’s report card, please send Marta an email at [email protected].

NEW! Livestreamed School Mass – Next Tuesday, April 21, Fr. David will be livestreaming a school mass for our students at 10:00 AM! Students and parents are invited to tune in on the school Facebook page HERE. No Facebook account is necessary to view the mass…please join Fr. David!

2020-2021 Academy Enrollment – We may not physically be in school at the moment, but we are looking forward to next year and the new Saint Chris Academy! Tuition Agreements for the 2020-2021 school year are being prepared. If your child has not been re-registered for next year, you will not receive a Tuition Agreement. You are also not eligible for Financial Aid until your child is re-enrolled. Financial Aid awards are included on your Tuition Agreement. If you have not re-registered, please email Jackie at [email protected] or Marta at [email protected] to have a new registration link emailed to you.

New Student Recruitment Do you have a friend or family member who is interested in Saint Christopher Academy for the Fall? Luckily, our application is completely online and we are accepting students remotely! Prospective families are encouraged to check out the website, email us at [email protected], and apply online HERE! Please pass the word!

NEW! Keep those photos coming! Help us stay in touch! We miss our kids and love seeing them as they work and play at home! We enjoy sharing them on our Facebook and Instagram pages, too…it’s a great way to show that we are still a strong community even though we are learning at home! Please send photos and videos to either your student’s teacher or Marta at [email protected]. Thank you!

Auction – We have made the difficult decision to postpone the St. Christopher School Auction originally scheduled for Saturday, March 21. While we are certainly disappointed that we were not able to gather together in support of St. Chris, we are looking forward to brighter times ahead and have rescheduled the event for May 23 at Sky Meadow Country Club. We hope that those who purchased tickets will still be able to join us on May 23!

We will keep all reservations, meal choices, and seating requests as they were originally made, so if you will be attending you are all set!

If you are not going to be available that weekend, we ask that you email Marta at [email protected] so that we can release your seats to additional attendees. Refunds on ticket purchases are also available by request.

Nashua Catholic to Join Auction Festivities – Rather than hold a separate Auction originally scheduled in May, Nashua Catholic will be joining us at our Auction on May 23rd! Parents and friends of Nashua Catholic will be invited to be part of the fun and all donations already received for their event will be included. If you are a Nashua Catholic parent….or know one….please plan on attending this fabulous joint event! Tickets can still be purchased HERE.

Sponsors and Advertisers - A big thank you to our new sponsors, Club National and J.S. Heating and advertiser Granite State Credit Union who are coming onboard from the cancelled Nashua Catholic Auction! Thank you for your support!

Diocesan Safe Haven Workshops - The Diocese of Manchester is making several training programs available to parents, grandparents, and concerned adults free of charge with the hope that these programs will assist in keeping your children safe at home, away from home, and online. Please see the flyer HERE.

NEW! Virtual “Uniform Day” – Who’s tired of staying in their pajamas all day? Next Friday, April 24, we are holding a virtual Uniform Day for a little community fun! Students are encouraged to get dressed in their school uniforms for remote learning for the day and parents are encouraged to snap photos and send them to Marta at [email protected]. We’ll post them on Facebook and Instagram and show our school spirit! Goooo Huskies!

St. Chris Live – Have you checked out St. Chris Live? Fr. David is doing a daily live Facebook video, Monday through Thursday at noon, from the parish and school! Tune in for reflections, trivia, humor, and prayer, all delivered Fr. David style! You don’t need to be on Facebook to view, simply tune in HERE at noon!

Streaming Sunday Mass – Fr. David is also live streaming the Sunday 10:00 AM mass on Facebook and on the parish website HERE.
