NEW! Thank You – Thank you to those parents who were able to attend last night’s information session regarding Saint Christopher Academy. We appreciate your thoughts and insights as we continue to prepare for these exciting changes. If you were unable to attend, we will be sending out meeting minutes next week. In addition, please be on the lookout for additional opportunities to provide input on specific topics.

Grades 3-6 Registration – A 60-second registration link for students who will be in grades 3-6 next year went out this week to the parent who is listed as the primary contact in the student’s record. Registrations will be due by January 31 in order to reserve a seat for 2020-2021. Please email Marta at [email protected] if you would like to check on who is listed as the primary contact or if you have any other questions!

NEW! Financial Aid Applications for 2020-2021 Applications for Financial Aid and the Children’s Scholarship Fund for the 2020-2021 school year are now being accepted. All families with a financial need are encouraged to apply for Financial Aid! To apply, parents must do the following in this order:

  1. Apply to the Children's Scholarship Fund HERE if eligible. (The eligibility rules are listed on the Children's Scholarship Fund website) The Children's Scholarship Fund is a source of financial assistance for families in need in NH. Awards are made on a first come, first served basis, so parents are encouraged to apply early.
  2. Apply to St. Christopher School Financial Aid through FACTS by clicking HERE. St. Christopher School Financial Aid is determined through FACTS. Please be aware that St. Christopher Financial Aid will take into account any award from the Children's Scholarship Fund when awarding aid to families.

New Student Registrations for 2020-2021 OPEN!  Registrations are now OPEN for new students in 2020-2021, from PreK 3 through grade 6. If you have a younger child who will be joining us next year, please visit the front page of the school website at www.StChrisSchoolNH and click the Apply Now button to get started! Please also pass the word to any new families who would like to join our school community in 2020-2021!

Open Houses for Prospective Families – Spread the word! January brings two Open Houses for families who are interested in joining our St. Chris family next Fall! On Sunday, January 26, we will have an Open House from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM, immediately following our parish/school mass and coffee hour. We will also open our doors to prospective families on Thursday, January 30 from 9:30 to 11:00 AM.

THIS WEEK! No After Care on January 10 – With such short crazy busy weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas this year, our staff elected to have their holiday get-together after Christmas on January 10. Therefore, there will be NO After Care THIS Friday, January 10 so that all of our staff can enjoy their post holiday celebration!

NEW! School Mass Our next school mass will take place on Wednesday, January 22 at 9:15 AM. 5G will be preparing and all are welcome to join us!

Annual Fund – The Annual Fund is going strong! Please consider joining the parents, friends, and alumni donors who have supported our students by making their donation to the Fund! Our goal for the Annual Fund is 100% participation from current families, faculty and staff, and School Board members. If you have not had the chance to donate yet, we ask you to support our mission to provide an excellent Catholic elementary education to all students by donating to the Annual Fund at the level your family is most comfortable. NEW! 3D Printing Club Is your child interested in 3D printing?  Using 3D design software, the students will learn how to create a design that can be transformed into a 3-dimensional object, and then printed on the school's Makerbot printer.  No experience is necessary, and the club is open to 4th - 6th graders.  The club will meet in the computer lab, beginning on Friday January 24th at 8:00 AM.  The club will meet every other Friday, for 6 Fridays (January 24, February 7, February 21, March 6, March 20, April 3). Parents - interested in helping out Club Coordinator Tom McCarthy? You don't need to be experienced with the software in order to lend a hand. To sign your child up, click HERE.

Hot Lunch Ordering – Don’t forget! Ordering for February is open and runs through Wednesday, January 15.  Please be sure to order as soon as possible, just in case of technical difficulty! As usual, we cannot accept orders past midnight on the 15th. 

NEW! School Delays Please note that on days where school has a 2-hour delay due to inclement weather, Before Care opens at 8:30 AM.

TOMORROW! Grade 3 to 6 Christmas Concert -- The Grade 3 to 6 Christmas Concert that was canceled on our December snow day will take place TOMORROW, Thursday, January 9 in the church. As always, the doors will open at 9:30 AM and the concert will begin promptly at 10:00 AM. Students in grades 3 to 6 should wear their Christmas best!

Fine Arts Festival  Please join our bands, fiddle squads, and choruses for their Winter Fine Arts Festival concert on Thursday, January 23 at 6:00 PM in the Church Hall. These fabulous musicians have been working hard on their pieces for this concert!

UPDATED! Auction News – It’s time to get this party started! Now that January is here, we’re knee deep in planning our upcoming 16th Annual St. Christopher Auction! This year’s event, “In the Winners Circle with St. Chris,” will have a Kentucky Derby theme and will take place at Sky Meadow Country Club on March 21, 2020.

Donations: Donate an item, get together with another family or two to put together a basket, chat with your boss, ask your barber, talk with your dry cleaner, reach out to your dog groomer….all are invited to participate! Donation ideas can be found HERE, as well as an online donation form. If you need printed flyers, please shoot Marta an email at [email protected]! 

Tickets: The invitations have been ordered and will go out the last week in January, but you can get a jump on things by purchasing your tickets online HERE! January Meetings – We love our volunteers and are indebted to them for the many programs they run that add that extra special something to St. Chris! There’s always room for more helpers and ideas on our many committees and groups…please consider attending one or more of the following meetings to see how you can get involved and really make a difference at St. Chris!

NEXT WEEK! STEM Committee Meeting – The STEM Committee meets next Monday, January 13 at 6:30 PM in the library. The group is planning a number of upcoming programs in the areas of recycling, coding, and more! In addition, they are working on the annual STEM Day program to be held on March 12. Lots of helpers are needed!

Auction Committee Meeting – We’re off to the races with our upcoming Auction! This fun-loving group puts together the most amazing night of the year! There’s a role for everyone, from decorations, to technology, to procurement! Please join them at their next meeting at 8:00 AM on January 16 in the school (please enter through the Before Care doors!).

Parent Group Meeting – The Parent Group will meet on Thursday, January 16 at 6:30 PM in the library. The Parent Group coordinates many of the social/community programs at the school, including the upcoming School Family Dance on January 31. This will be the first time this event has been held in the Church Hall, so please bring your ideas to this meeting!
