NEW! Thank You – Special thanks to Lindsey Charbonneau for coordinating our annual Christmas Tree Lighting last Friday night! The weather may have been a bit wet, but it didn’t dampen our Christmas spirit!

NEW! Grades 3-6 Registration We are so happy that our new 60-second registration process was so well received by our families with students in the lower grades! Starting in January, it will be time for families with students who will be in grades 3-6 next year to register! The 60-second registration link will go out on January 6 to the parent who is listed as the primary contact in the student’s record. Registrations will be due by January 31. Please email Marta at [email protected] if you would like to check on who is listed as the primary contact or if you have any other questions!

New Student Registrations for 2020-2021 OPEN!  Registrations are now OPEN for new students in 2020-2021, from PreK 3 through grade 6. If you have a younger child who will be joining us next year, please visit the front page of the school website at www.StChrisSchoolNH and click the Apply Now button to get started! Please also pass the word to any new families who would like to join our school community in 2020-2021!

NEW! Open Houses for Prospective Families Spread the word! January brings two Open Houses for families who are interested in joining our St. Chris family next Fall! On Sunday, January 26, we will have an Open House from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM, immediately following our parish/school mass and coffee hour. We will also open our doors to prospective families on Thursday, January 30 from 9:30 to 11:00 AM.

NEW! No After Care on January 10 – With such short crazy busy weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas this year, our staff elected to have their holiday get-together after Christmas on January 10. Therefore, there will be NO After Care on Friday, January 10 so that all of our staff can

Ski Club News -- A welcome email with important information and forms for ski club was sent out last week. If you signed up for Ski Club and do not receive it, please email [email protected] ASAP. Thanks!

Annual Fund – The second of our three annual fundraisers, the Annual Fund, is underway! Each family should recently have received an Annual Fund letter asking for your support of this effort. All gifts to the Annual Fund stay here at St. Chris and go directly to benefit our students through advanced academics, updated technology and facilities, and exciting extracurricular activities. In addition, because the cost of educating our students exceeds our tuition, EVERY St. Christopher School student receives discounted tuition supported by our fundraising efforts.

Our goal for the Annual Fund is 100% participation from current families, faculty and staff, and School Board members, with $35,000 being our financial goal. We are over 2/3rds of the way towards our goal! If you have not had the chance to donate yet, we ask you to support our mission to provide an excellent Catholic elementary education to all students by donating to the Annual Fund at the level your family is most comfortable. All donations, no matter the size, are MOST appreciated. To donate online, please click HERE.

NEW! Hot Lunch Ordering – Don’t forget! Ordering for February will open on January 1 while we are on Christmas vacation and run through January 15.  Please be sure to order as soon as possible, just in case of technical difficulty! As usual, we cannot accept orders past midnight on the 15th.

THIS WEEK! Christmas Free Dress – Students will get into the holiday mood by wearing their favorite red, green and white on THIS Friday, December 20! Santa hats, jingle bells, flashing necklaces, and other Christmas accessories are welcome and encouraged!

NEW! Snow Day Rescheduling – Due to our unexpected Snow Day yesterday, we need to reschedule two important events! Please mark your calendar accordingly:

The Grade 3 to 6 Christmas Concert has been rescheduled for Thursday, January 9 in the church. As always, the doors will open at 9:30 AM and the concert will begin promptly at 10:00 AM.

The parent meeting with the Catholic Schools Office regarding our exciting plans for St. Christopher Academy next year has been rescheduled for Tuesday, January 7 at 7:15 PM in the church hall.

NEW! Fine Arts Festival Please join our bands, fiddle squads, and choruses for their Winter Fine Arts Festival concert on Thursday, January 23 at 6:00 PM in the Church Hall. These fabulous musicians have been working hard on their pieces for this concert!

Auction Request – It’s never too early to start thinking ahead to our exciting Auction! This year’s event, “In the Winners Circle with St. Chris,” will have a Kentucky Derby theme and will take place on March 21, 2020. (Be sure to book that babysitter now!) We love to have our families and local and national businesses participate in the Auction through item donations, program advertisements, and sponsorships. Donate an item, get together with another family or two to put together a basket, chat with your boss, ask your barber, talk with your dry cleaner, reach out to your dog groomer….all are invited to participate! If you need more printed flyers, please shoot Marta an email at [email protected]!

Auction Website is Live! This year’s Auction website is now live! The website can be used to purchase tickets, make donations, purchase sponsorships and advertising, and more! Check it out at https://stchrisschoolnh.ejoinme.org/Auction2020.

STEM Committee MeetingThe STEM Committee is planning a number of upcoming programs in the areas of recycling, coding, and more! In addition, they are working on the annual STEM Day program to be held on March 12. Lots of helpers are needed!

Parent Group MeetingThe Parent Group coordinates many of the social/community programs at the school, including the upcoming School Family Dance on January 31. This will be the first time this event has been held in the Church Hall, so please bring your ideas to this meeting!

Auction Committee MeetingWe’re off to the races with our upcoming Auction! This fun-loving group puts together the most amazing night of the year! NEW! Basketball News  -- It was another nail biter for the Saint Chris Green Girls Mites as they played Saint Catherine Purple but again with the hard work of the entire team they came out on top! The final score was 12-10 with Emma Knapp leading the scoring with 8 points followed closely by Avary who had 4. Awesome defense all around kept this game in the hands of the Huskies.

The Saint Chris White Girls Mites also came out on top with a victory against the Mites of Saint Joe's/Res. The Huskies were so excited to have the Saint Chris cheerleaders to support them in their second victory. It may be because of the awesome cheers that the Mites hit four 3-pointers which is probably a record in recent years, 3 by Shea and 1 by Holly. Defensively they were lead by Deborah who had 7 STUFFs and Stella who followed closely with a number of steals! The final score was 28-14 scoring was lead by Shea with 15 points, Holly with 11, and Stella with 2.

It was a great way to close out the second week with two more victories for the Girls Mites and awesome cheering by the cheer squad. Congratulations to all!
