NEW! Water Testing Good news! We recently had the water in our drinking fountains tested by Granite State Analytical Services LLC for lead and it passed all standards. You can see the test results HERE.

 

Last Day of School – We made it! Spring has sprung and we do not have to add any makeup days to our calendar in June! Therefore, the schedule for the last few days of school is:

Grade 6 Graduation Lunch (12:00 PM) – June 6

6th Grade Graduation (7:00 PM) – June 7

PreK and Kindergarten Last Day – June 7

Grades 1-5 Last Day – June 13 – Release at 12:30 PM

 

UPDATED! After Care in 1st Grade – The parish is once again holding their terrific Fish Dinners on Fridays during Lent, so our After Care will be relocated to 1st grade on all Fridays during this period. This will run through April 12. In addition, After Care will be in 1st grade on April 9 and April 15 due to parish conflicts. Please go to the 1st grade doors to pick up your children!

 

THIS WEEK! Monthly Mass Our next monthly mass will take place this Thursday, April 4 at 9:15 AM in the church. 6W will be preparing the mass. Please join us!

 

April Vacation – This year, April vacation begins on Easter weekend. As always, we will have Good Friday off from school. Therefore, our April vacation will run from April 19 through April 28!

 

FINAL Hot Lunch Ordering – Hot Lunch ordering for May is open on Booli.com and will run through April 15. Hot Lunch will end on Friday, May 24. Because there will be NO Hot Lunch in June, this is the last Hot Lunch ordering period for the school year! As of May 28, all students must bring a bag lunch through the end of the year!

 

UPDATED! Stations of the Cross – During Lent, we are observing the Stations of the Cross every Friday afternoon. Please check the calendar above for upcoming dates and times. Please note that this Friday’s Stations (April 5), will take place at 9:15 AM rather than 2:15 PM due to a scheduling conflict in the church.

 

UPDATED! Fine Arts Center – We are starting to move forward on our renovation project! The asbestos testing did indicate that some asbestos is present in the ceiling of the building, so we are currently making arrangements to have that removed as soon as possible. This is an important step in making sure our Fine Arts Center is an environmentally safe place for our students and we are happy to taking care of it! Stay tuned for more updates!

In the meantime, feel free to share information about the Fine Arts Center in the community! You can find more information about the project and how to support it HERE! Please note: Any donations made through the Paypal link on the Fine Arts Center page will be reserved for the Fine Arts Project. It will not be applied to the Annual Fund or any other fundraising effort. Poetry Slam – Our student poets are hard at work writing their original pieces for the upcoming Poetry Slam! Please join us on Thursday, April 18, at 1:45 in the Church Hall!

 

Faith Outreach Committee – The Faith Outreach Committee will meet on Friday, April 5 at 9:00 AM  in the library to discuss next year’s Vocation Day! Please join us!

Junior Group Video Project Update – Our “Catholic Mass Stereotypes” video will be screened with the Religious Education’s Special Day presentations on Sunday, April 14 at 9:00 AM in the church hall. All are welcome to come and view it!

Kid Group News – What’s the difference between a bishop, priest, and deacon? We'll find out as we discuss the church hierarchy at Kid Group this week. See you in the Pennell Center on April 6 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM! All 3rd-5th graders are welcome to join us.

Vacation Bible School Save the Date!!! St. Christopher Parish’s popular Vacation Bible School (VBS) with run from July 29-August 2, 2019! This year’s theme is ROAR! 2019: Life is Wild ~ God is Good. Registration forms are included in this week’s paper News ! Children ages 4 (entering pre-K) to Grade 5 are invited to come join us for a GRRReat time at Vacation Bible School this summer! We will travel to the African Savannah, a safari into the Bible, where we will sing, dance, create and play as we learn that even when our life gets WILD, God is always good! And we Trust in Him! Happy Hearts Day Care Summer Camp Openings – Linda Rousseau of Happy Hearts Day Care, located across the street from the school, has openings for children age 6 to 11 in her summer camp.  Activities include daily field trips, hiking, swimming, playgrounds, nature preserves, restaurants.  $175 per week, lunch and snacks included.  Please call Linda Rousseau at 880-6575 if interested. 

 

Fish Dinners -- Knights of Columbus Council 11907 will be serving Baked Fish Dinners on the Fridays in Lent through April 12. The dinners will be served from 4:30 to 6:30 PM in the Church Hall. The menu includes a generous portion of baked haddock, baked potato, vegetable, coleslaw, rolls, beverage and selections from our famous home cooked dessert table. Cost is $12. Pizza slices are available $2.00. Take out orders can be placed by calling (603) 717-4980. Cash checks and credit cards are accepted and Gift Certificates are available. If schools are closed due to inclement weather, the Fish Dinner is also cancelled.
